RD in Entangled
![]() ![]() 1993
"In Paris, David (Judd Nelson), a young writer, encounters an impossible love. His girlfriend Annabelle
(Laurence Treil) is a woman of extraordinary beauty, a model that has risen to fame in a very short time.
David's insecurity and passion will spawn questions, mistrust, jealousy, and ultimately murder.
Entangled unveils a unique triangle in which desire transcends death as two men fight for the morbid
possesion of a dead womans love."
So says the blurb on the back of the video, with Pierce Brosnan playing Garavan, Davids rival. I've only
watched this film once all the way through so I don't have much to add as far as the storyline goes. To be quite
frank the film is not good enough to merit a second viewing.
Roy plays Max, a photographer friend of Davids, who is popular with the ladies. His character makes numerous appearances throughout the first 40 minutes of the film but is then not seen again. Roy's performance is as
good as can be expected - given the fact that the script should really have been filed in the "round drawer"
long before it ever reached the desk of any producer. He does as well as he can with what he has to work
with - which ain't much...
This is not a film I would recommend on its own merits, its purely one to watch with your finger poised over
the fast forward and rewind buttons - its one to watch just for Roy
